WikiLeaks…

Wikileaks – When it begins to get tricky.

I have, in the past year or so, begun to reduce my work load, slowly but surely, with my sights set on early retirement and blissful retreat to the mountain home I love so dear…Getting on a plane just to go  have a conversation regarding Wikileaks at midnight, which lasted until 6 in the morning, is not my idea of making my dream of bliss come true. Nonetheless, it happened, and this is what I have come to conclude…

When Assange, as a whistleblower, posts items to his website for all the world to see that is one topic and granted up for wide debate…When Assange goes a step further and suggests that Secretary of State Clinton should resign one can’t help but wonder if he has now used his Wikileaks site to step up on a soapbox and thusly changing his status from whistleblower to, what we in DC call, an agenda. While agendas on a whole are not a bad thing, when you try to hide your agenda under the disguise of something else then it begins to get a little tricky…by doing so you reduce your creditability with half the population and things begin to move in another direction…you begin to look like those who yell nasty things at military funerals when all along what you really are doing is challenging the stability of The Constitution of The United States…My point being…If you want to challenge something, by all means do so…put your name and face on it and attack or challenge it head on and directly…don’t do it with a hidden agenda…and in a twisted, murky, cloudy way this is what, in my opinion, Assange is doing…and this is where the real damage exists…

Is Wikileaks breaking the law? I am not a lawyer and would have no idea as to the ins and outs of their legal standing so I will save that for those who would know… I do know that at least 3.5 million government employees have or have had access to this information throughout the years and I would throw the legal ball back into the court side of where the information was leaked to Assange to begin with…somehow in my crazy mind I feel that would be a good place to start with the “who broke the law” first topic…

Is the information posted dangerous? Yes, yes it is. Even within your own households, families, and friends a ding of a loss of confidence and trust between you and others involved can cause grave and permanent damage.

Why can’t the government simply shut it down? This is where the “agenda” comes into play. Can they? Yes, they can zap a tick off a pine cone thousands of miles away…don’t ever for one moment think they can’t…to think that would be utter stupidity. Any and most country’s governments can do the same…even the ones you forget about… Why won’t they or what is the holdup on shutting it down becomes more of a relevant question than the previous… by doing so they enter into the agenda trap that has been set for them… if they were to shut it down then they would fall right into he playbook of those who once again are simply out there pushing buttons to challenge the stability of The Constitution of The United States and it’s government…it is not the easy call you think it would be… and I think you will hear that from both sides of the aisle…

I am sure there will be much more to come regarding this issue for years…in fact the Bank of America papers that will be forthcoming will perhaps incite more of a public stir than cables from diplomats back in 1966…however, and yet once again… it too is not being placed there for your knowledge…it is being posted with an agenda in mind…and coming from a purely economic standpoint a very dangerous one indeed…

I will say in closing that if I were one of the leaks feeding this information to Assange I would begin to worry and loose sleep…when the time comes, and it will…Mr. Assange will spew his vomit freely rather than choosing to quietly choke on it…and that is about as graphic as I care to get…

All in all we need to remember one thing…think back to high school…when the popular people, who never spoke to you at all, came up to you and told you what someone else said about you…did you think that they really were concerned  about you and your feelings?… Then why in God’s name would you think that now? Even if everything they posted on Wiki were true down to the last period… it is being posted with an agenda…and it is with that agenda that our concern should lie…
